How to use HID Mobile Access

HID Mobile Access gives a user door access with their smartphone. The HID Mobile Access system is configured in EntraPass along with the user's card credentials.

You must register the HID Mobile Access integration in system components using the component name HID Mobile Access.

To enable HID Mobile Access, complete the following steps:

1 - Select the Options tab, and then select System Parameters from the menu.

2 - Select the Integration button and select the HID Mobile Access tab.

3 - Enter a Client ID and Password. PKI certificate validation is not currently supported. You can get these credentials from your HID system account. The Portal URL, Login URL, and Path are automatically completed but you can edit if you require.

4 - Select the Configure Part Numbers button. This opens the Part Number Configuration window.

5 - Select Update from HID Portal to update the list.

6 - Enter your Facility Code and select your Card Display Format. The facility code and card display format are specific to the HID cards you have purchased. Select OK to save your configuration.

7 - Select OK to save your HID Mobile Access parameters.

To add a new HID Mobile Access user in your system, complete the following steps:

1 - From the Users tab, select Card.

2 - Select an existing Card user name. This integration works on existing user accounts.

3 - Select the HID Mobile Access button. This opens a HID Mobile Access window.

4 - Select a part number from Part Numbers list. Each part number represents a box of cards. The Qty field displays the number of remaining card numbers.

5 - Select Send Invitation & Issue Mobile ID to prompt the user to register their smartphone.

6 - Select OK.

To view the status of an existing HID Mobile Access user, complete the following steps:

1 - From the Users tab, select Card.

2 - Select an existing Card user name.

3 - Select the HID Mobile Access button. This opens a HID Mobile Access window.

4 - Select the Advanced check box.

5 - In the Invitations section the status of the invitation is displayed. Here you can resend or delete invitations. The Credential Containers list displays all devices that have already been associated with the user.

6 - Select OK.

To add multiple devices to a single user, complete the following steps:

1 - From the HID Mobile Access window, select a part number from the Part Numbers list.

1 - Select the Advanced check box.

2 - Select the Send Invitation button. When the user registers their device, a new container is created in the Credential Containers list .

3 - Select the new device from the Credential Containers list.

4 - Select the Issue Mobile ID button.

5 - Select OK.

To add multiple cards to a single user, complete the following steps:

1 - From the HID Mobile Access window, select a part number from the Part Numbers list.

1 - Select the Advanced check box.

2 - Select a container from the Credential Containers list.

3 - Select the Issue Mobile ID button. This sends another mobile ID to the user's smartphone.

4 - Select OK.

NOTE: Each device can hold 1 mobile ID from each part number. A device can hold up to 5 different mobile IDs if they come from 5 different part numbers.
